United Against All Challenges

NASUWT’s annual conference took place this year at Birmingham’s ICC on 6th-9th April. With almost one thousand delegates and some headline grabbing ballots it was certainly an event to remember. Once again, Cue Media in conjunction with Mark Davis Management were there to make it happen…

In today’s political climate teachers face some serious and far-reaching challenges. From budget cuts to controversial academies, there was no shortage of talking points and issues that this month’s conference needed to address. The production team at NASUWT faced their own set of challenges in order to bring the event to life.

With up to a thousand delegates voting on potentially life-changing ballots it was vital that the attendees could see and hear everything that was happening. To achieve this, Cue Media supplied and operated a 3 screen & projector setup, utilising a multi-input matrix system to realise optimal flexibility and control. This allowed us to present different information on each screen at the same time, providing the delegates with all of the facts without overwhelming them.

Of course, the conference leaders needed their own feedback too and with as many as sixty-four of them onstage at once this was no easy task. We provided a wealth of distribution and visual monitors to the stage area to give everyone a front row seat regardless of where they were seated.

Cue Media has worked with NASUWT and Mark Davis Management for a number of years and we look forward to continuing to do so in the future.

Cue Media goes Digital!

Recently the company upgraded and expanded its audio equipment, we have NEXO speakers and have been very happy with them, but we decided to go to the next grade with the new NEXO RS series. We also wanted another digital mixing desk, and chose the Yamaha LS9 32 channel desk and digital multicore. The LS9 32 is a small and lightweight console that is easy to lift and transport but maintains the advanced functionality, sound quality and operability of Yamaha’s high-end digital mixers.

As a live events company, the marriage of portability and excellent sound quality made this console ideal for us, along with integrated amps with built-in controllers the system connects together by a CAT5 cable cutting down installation time and the amount of additional cables needed.
